Introduction to Early Years Foundation Stage

All Early Years providers, including childminders, must follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. This course will introduce you to EYFS and can also act as refresher for anyone wanting to update their knowledge. We recommend everyone takes a refresher course at minimum every two years.

Over the course we’ll look at key legislation and documentation relating to early years providers, how to register with Ofsted and the numerous policies and procedure that need to be in place. We’ll also cover learning and development requirements, child assessment for those in your care, and welfare and safeguarding requirements as set by the EYFS framework.
