Emergency first aid is classified as aid given immediately at the scene of an incident. Generally, this involves nothing more than tending to small cuts and apply a simple bandage or plaster. It is usually undertaken by an employee in the workplace.
However, what would happen in your workplace if someone was suddenly and seriously injured? Applying a plaster is something many of us have had to do but dealing with burns or spinal injuries is another matter entirely.
This course will show you common scenarios that you may have do deal with as a first responder and how you should react. Furthermore, you will be shown how your role as a first responder changes for serious incidents from just applying first aid to assessing the situation and acting appropriately to increase the patient’s chance of survival.
