Asbestos was widely used by the building industry all the way up until the year 2000 and it is one of the most hazardous building materials ever used.
As the nation became aware of the impact asbestos can have on our health, regulations have been created. The Control of Asbestos Regulations (CAR) applies to all work involving materials containing asbestos. Under these regulations, all employers must provide adequate training to anyone who has a chance of being exposed to asbestos.
