Introducing GDPR

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) has been enforceable since 25th May 2018. Despite this, for many long-term data protection offices there is often confusion around what is GDPR compliant, as well a lot to learn for those new to the subject. Correct understanding and implementation are crucial to the UK business, and data breaches can have far reaching consequences that could destroy an otherwise profitable business.

In this course we’ll look at the roles and responsibility of key people, categories of personal data, six lawful bases for processing data, and how to perform a data audit within your business. We’ll also examine the seven GDPR principles, and the eight rights of individuals, along with the importance of a solid and clear privacy policy and how create one. Lastly, we’ll look at avoiding data breaches, what to do if one happens and how to correctly report the breach.
